Rosenfelt & West Engineering A/S was established on August 1st 1979. In early 1980 we got the first technical and administrative level crossing projects from the Ministry of Transport, the current Danish Road Directorate. Since 1984/85 RWE has, on behalf of the Danish Road Directorate, headed all operations and maintenance of private railway crossings - a total of 324. This work was done until the Danish Road Directorate handed crossings to BaneDanmark at the turn of 2011/2012. Now Rosenfelt & West Engineering assists BaneDanmark with the same services, but to a lesser extent.

In 1990 we established a warehouse / workshop, which is responsible for repairs and maintenance of external components, collection of in-house developed components and installation of the control unit for railway crossings and transition facilities.

Over the years, Rosenfelt & West Engineering include The Danish Road Directorate assisted with the development of electronic control unit (type BUES 2000), transition facility (type VD05), electronic bell, new and improved beam lighting resilient tower and contributed to numerous other safety promotions. Every year, between 225 to 285 crossing-related projects are completed - ranging from replacements for alteration, speed upgrades etc.

In addition to the above, the company also advised BaneDanmark and a number of municipalities in project management, design, validation, drawing work, shop work, commissioning etc. of new BUES 2000 plants, and replacement of relay-based systems. In addition, we provide a wide range of components and perform renovations on beams and beam motors etc.

In 2011 included Rosenfelt & West Engineering a framework agreement with the Norwegian National Rail Administration for delivery of up to 200 BUES 2000 plants to the Norwegian courts.

Office and warehouse is located in Ølstykke and employs 20 employees.
